Play with Beauty
The prime focus of Lux Channel I Superstar 2008 was to take the philosophy "Play with Beauty" to higher grounds. This acted as a powerful platform for aspiring girls to spread their wings and fly into the skies of beauty. This year, the competition was even more challenging as the contestants were tested in all sectors of the glamour world - fashion, advertising, acting, dancing and ofcourse on beauty.
The journey towards stardom
The grand launching ceremony of the 4th Lux Channel I Superstar 2008 was held on August 18th, 2008 at Hotel Sheraton's Winter Garden. The journey started with the intital screening of thousands of participants coming from different parts of the country, followed by interview of primarily selected participants leading to the selection of top 25 participants.
These top 25 contestants were put through a boot camp, where they went through an extensive grooming session involving fitness, choreography, acting and other training. The camp was carried out by the finest models, actors, directors and beauty and fashion gurus of the country.
After the grooming, the participants competed in TV episodes on style, fashion, treasure hunt, modelling and acting. The panel of judges included Actress and Director Afsana Mimi, Film Actress Kobori and Writer Emdadul Haque Milon. At the end of three months of packed activities and competition, the top three superstars Chaity, Tajzi and Deepa were chosen at the Grand Finale which was held on 17th January 2009.
Dream to touch the sky
For years Lux has been transforming ordinary women into extraordinary stars by giving these aspirants the wings to fly in the sky of glamour, beauty and stardom. Lux Channel I Super Star 2008 once again gave birth to a galaxy of young starlets who will surely shine in their own glory and will inspire millions of others to dream and play with beauty.
