Over the last few years, various initiatives have been taken to promote the ideas of health, hygiene and better living. The Company has been involved in large scale investments with regard to bringing health care facilities to the underprivileged. One such initiative is the annual Kalurghat Health Camp. The programme has been initiated since 2007 by the Company to provide free health care facilities to people around Chittagong. Every year over 2500 community residents consisting young and old, ailing mothers and children avail the services provided by the Health Camp. This initiative is also supported by Maa Shishu O General Hospital, Chittagong Diabetic Association Hospital and Chittagong Lions Eye Hospital to provide the best possible services to its patients.

In addition to sending specialists from the medical disciplines, the Health camp has offered free diabetic tests, cataract removal surgeries, and other checkup facilities to the patients who would not have been able to avail it otherwise. The collaborative venture also includes free distribution of medicine at the camps with the disbursement overseen by medical specialists.
Managers from the Company volunteer hours during this annual Health Camp. UBL project coordinators are also present during the health camps to assess and evaluate the process and the facilities utilised during the period.

So far over 10,000 people have availed the services offered by the Health camp out of which over 5000 ailing mothers and children received treatment and immunization, approximately 4000 community residents received diabetic medical assistance and free blood tests and approximately 6000 patients received free eye treatment which also included surgeries.
