Unilever Bangladesh emerged as the “Number 1 Employer of Choice”

Not only in the FMCG sector but also across industries in the 2013 AC Nielsen Campus Track Survey.

The AC Nielsen Campus Track Survey assesses the perception of different companies, in terms of Employer Brand, across industries. The survey reflects the views of 600 final year students from 16 of the leading Business Schools across the country.

In 2013 Nielsen Bangladesh conducted a syndicate study of the Employer Branding Survey for the first time. The syndicate included companies like Unilever Bangladesh, British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB), Grameen Phone and Airtel.

The campus survey conducted by Nielsen last year validated Unilever Bangladesh as the top employer in the FMCG sector. This year’s survey has validated that position one step further by putting Unilever Bangladesh as the Number 1 employer across industries, followed by BATB and Nestle in second and third place, respectively, among all of the 25 criteria against which the survey participants ranked each company.

These criteria, also known as choice drivers, included questions covering the efficacy of the companies in areas of reputation, remuneration, work environment, career progression etc.

The survey identified “Market standing”, “Growth Prospect” and “Good Working Environment” as the primary factors that have successfully driven Unilever Bangladesh’s Employer Brand. Unilever Bangladesh still continues to be the “Dream Company” to work for.

Unilever Bangladesh sees this accolade as recognition for the investment it puts in its human resources development, creating the business leaders of tomorrow.
