Biz Maestros

BizMaestros is a real life business competition organized by the largest FMCG Company of Bangladesh and 5 times Employer of Choice*, Unilever Bangladesh. Through BizMaestros, Unilever Bangladesh is seeking the best talent to not only create a talent pipeline for themselves but also to provide the winners with an opportunity to take part in the global competition ‘Unilever Future Leader’s League 2018’, in London, UK. The 8th season of BizMaestros began with Unilever Bangladesh conducting roadshows across 6 campuses - IBA, University of Dhaka, North South University, BRAC University, BUET and Bangladesh University of Professionals.

These sessions provided students with the opportunity to meet the leaders of Unilever Bangladesh and connect with them at a more personal level. The students also connected with their alumni at Unilever, understanding the work and environment of Unilever Bangladesh better. Post the roadshows, the first round of BizMaestros comprising of an online case on TRESemmé was published through Unilever Careers Facebook Page, where students across all universities could register and participate.

20 teams moved on to Round 2, where they were given the task of coming up with a unique proposition for Knorr Noodles. The semi-final round comprised of a case on Pureit where 12 teams obtained an invaluable opportunity to interact with real consumers and customers, and gain insights which they then used to create a marketing campaign for Pureit.

For the finale, the teams were required to test their Pureit campaign pitch in real business context. They engaged in direct and online selling of Pureit devices to consumers for 4 days and then came to Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden to present their campaign to the Management Committee of Unilever Bangladesh who were the esteemed judges for the Finale. The judges had a difficult time choosing one winner from the top 5 teams.

Afnan Bin Ashraf, Mahbub Rahman Nafee and Md. Rafid Ur Rob from Team Why Not was announced the Champions after much deliberation, with Team Watchmen from Institute of Business Administration, Dhaka University becoming the first runners up and Team Second String from Bangladesh University of Professionals becoming the second Runners up.
