Unilever Bangladesh Chairman Kamran Bakr speaks at the CITF 2012
Unilever Bangladesh Chairman says company’s quality products contributes to the national economy by generating employment.
Unilever Bangladesh Limited’s Chairman and Managing Director, Mr. Kamran Bakr had said, “Unilever, despite being a multinational company, is not primarily concerned with business expansion only. Our quality products generate employment and contribute to the improvement of the economic state of the country.” He went on to add that for a long time now, his company has maintained the high-quality standard of their products which has earned them a good reputation in Bangladesh and sustained a good business platform in the country also.
He went on to highlight the paltry state of the road and communication amenities in industrial-heavy areas of the country and added that the concerned authorities should look into amending them. The poor condition of these facilities may detract and repel foreign investors.
Mr. Bakr made the following statements on discussion with the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce’s leadership during his visit of the 20th CITF 2012 organized by the Chamber of Commerce at the Chittagong Polo Ground field. Amongst the other dignitaries were present the Chamber’s Senior Vice Chairman, Mahbubul Alam Talukdar, Chamber Directors Mahfuzul Haq Shah Chowdhury, Syed Sagir Ahmed, Jahirul Islam Chowdhury and Md. Ahid Siraj Chowdhury (Swopon), Unilever’s Supply Chain Director, Aminur Rahman, Personal Services Manager, Md. Shahabuddin, Business Manager (Foods), Muslim Uddin and Assistant Activation Manager, Ahsanur Rahman.
Unilever’s executives announced that world-class products were on display in the company’s stall. The stall’s well-trained brand promoters not only glamorized Unilever’s everyday common-usage products but also offered insightful information regarding them.
