Dr. Syed Mohammad Aminur Rahman

Dr. Syed Mohammad Aminur Rahman joined the Unilever Bangladesh Limited (UBL) board in March 2025. He is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in the Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Cadre, where he has served in various capacities both at field administration and ministry levels since 2003.

Throughout his career, Mr. Rahman has participated in numerous trainings and conferences, both at home and abroad. He has been involved in a myriad of development projects, and has taken part in shaping and refining national policies related to climate change, energy, and sustainability.

Dr. Rahman has represented Bangladesh at international conferences such as ‘18th Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF)’ in 2023, the 80th Commission Session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in 2024 as well as the Ship Recycling Forum, 2024. Besides these, he has also completed multiple training programmes in Australia, Denmark, Singapore, Thailand, China, India and Japan. For his excellent contributions, he has also achieved numerous regional and national awards.

In addition to his professional endeavours, Mr. Rahman was the Finance Director of the Rotaract Club of Dhaka University. Currently, he is also involved in Red-Crescent Society, Bangladesh, and Rostrum Club, Adelaide, South Australia. He is also a member of Royal Geographical Society of South Australia.

Mr. Rahman is a business graduate. He completed his graduation in Accounting from the University of Dhaka. He got his second Master’s from Yamaguchi University, Japan under the Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS). Recently he has also completed his PhD in Climate Change from the University of Adelaide, Australia.

Mr. Rahman is also an accomplished writer and has published 14 articles in different international journals on topics related to his expertise, further demonstrating his commitment to knowledge sharing and policy advancement.
