M. A. Kamal Billah joined the Unilever Bangladesh Limited (UBL) board in January 2025. He is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in the Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Cadre, where he has served in various capacities since 1998.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kamal has participated in numerous trainings and conferences, both at home and abroad, gaining expertise in areas such as Poverty Alleviation, Governance, Parliamentary Processes, Gender and Child Rights etc. His training portfolio includes specialised programmes on e-Governance in Singapore, Parliamentary practices in India and the UK, and Women’s Rights Promotion in the Republic of Korea.
Mr. Kamal has represented Bangladesh at international conferences and meetings across several countries, including the UK, USA, France, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, India, Turkey, Russia, China, UAE and many others. His global exposure has enriched his contributions to governance and development initiatives. He has also been awarded the best non-departmental officer for his contributions in quality primary education in Rajshahi Division in 2008.
Mr Kamal completed his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Master of Arts in English from the University of Dhaka. In recognition of his dedication to public service, he was awarded a DFID scholarship, for a Master’s in Gender and Development from the University of Hull, UK.
Kamal is also an accomplished writer and has published work on topics related to his expertise, further demonstrating his commitment to knowledge sharing and policy advancement.
