Md. Nurul Monowar joined Unilever Bangladesh Limited (UBL) as an Assistant Brand Manager for Pond’s, marking the start of an impactful journey across Marketing and Customer Development (CD). Since January 2025, he has been appointed as the Marketing Director - Homecare Bangladesh.

A dynamic Sales and Marketing professional with over 16 years of experience in the FMCG industry, Monowar began his career in 2008 as a Territory Officer at British American Tobacco, Bangladesh, where he honed his foundational skills in trade marketing and sales. At Unilever, he held key roles including Brand Manager, Senior Brand Manager, Category Head for Skin Care, and Marketing Manager & Country Category Business Team (CCBT) Lead. He led several transformative projects, such as the landmark brand migrations of Wheel Power White to Rin Power White and Fair & Lovely to Glow & Lovely. He also launched innovative products like Pond’s Bright Beauty, Vaseline Mosquito Defence, and Pond’s Oil Control.
Under his leadership, Fair & Lovely achieved a double-digit growth after years of stagnation, while Pond’s became a top-performing brand globally within Unilever’s portfolio. His contributions earned recognition, with Fair & Lovely winning the prestigious “Best Brand Award” in 2015.
In 2021, Monowar transitioned to CD as the Head of Customer Marketing, where he revitalised critical operational frameworks, including the Monthly Operating Cycle (MOC) and Target Setting Process. Following that, in 2024, as Director of Customer Strategy & Planning, he led the Channel Transformation Project, redefining UBL’s channel structures to optimise efficiency and customer engagement.
Monowar holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. His academic foundation has complemented his professional success, driving a strategic and innovative approach to leadership.
