Domex and Bhumijo’s Fight Against Poor Sanitation

With the purpose to combat poor sanitation in Bangladesh, Domex partnered with Bhumijo since 2019. The goal was to provide hygienic, inclusive, and affordable public sanitation services to underserved communities, aligning primarily with SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. Beyond offering safe and secure smart toilets in low-income areas, Bhumijo developed an operational model that includes extended WASH services such as showers, clean drinking water, laundry, and refreshments—either by constructing new toilets or renovating existing ones. These services are accessible through a subscription or pay-per-use model across key urban areas such as Dhaka, Khulna, Narayanganj, and Benapole.​
